Like many other seiyuu (voice actors), Hidenobu Kiuchi originally envisioned a career acting on stage. Luckily for anime fans, a fellow actor suggested he give voice acting a try. He did, discovered he had a knack for it, and now is a full-time seiyuu.

Since his debut in Rurouni Kenshin, Kiuchi has appeared in a wide range of anime — from children's shows like Onegai My Melody (King) and Chi's Sweet Home/New Address (Mr. Yamada) to shounen/seinen fare such as Kemomozume (Toshihiko Momota) and Gunslinger Girl (Joze) and shoujo favorites Nana (Ren Hojou), Peach Girl (Kazuya Toujikamori) and Story of Saiunokoku (Ryuuren Ran).

His biggest roles to date have been as Dr. Tenma in the dark, intense Monster; Hei in the two Darker than Black series, Ryouhei Sasagawa in the long-running Katekyo Hitman Reborn! and Oshitari Yuushi in the fan-favorite Prince of Tennis — all characters who could not be more different from one another.

In addition to anime dubbing, Kiuchi does voice overs in TV (24) and movies (The Corpse Bride), and has taught voice acting along with fellow Prince of Tennis alum Kenjiro Tsuda. He also hosts a regular online radio show, Seishun Radio.
